Algebra AI is the first company BECO has co-founded and incubated. For a firm that has been fortunate enough to have partnered with a number of this region’s most significant companies from their earliest days, co-founding is a natural extension of how we work.
Since our own founding in 2012, a question we continually return to is where the structural gaps are. Today, the mid-market AI adoption gap in the GCC is clear and pressing.
Tens of thousands of mid-market businesses across the Gulf are generating significant economic output, with no viable path to AI adoption. Off-the-shelf tools are built for businesses far simpler than these, whereas enterprise solutions assume dedicated technology teams, clean data infrastructure, and the internal capacity to manage implementation. The majority of mid-market operators have none of those things. The result is a market that has been told repeatedly that AI is available to them, without anyone building for how they operate day-to-day.
The future of services will be driven by lean, AI-native organizations that embed automation at their core. In our 2025 AI whitepaper, Strategy in AI’s Shifting Sands, we wrote about the rise of Service as a Software: the shift from traditional SaaS to intelligent systems that deliver complex professional services autonomously, at scale. Algebra AI is that model, built for the GCC mid-market by a team with the operational depth to execute it here.
That is what drew us to Anis Harb, as co-founder and CEO, who has already built a phenomenal team around him including Fayez El Far, Abboud Hammour, Rami Kaawach and others. Anis spent a decade running Deliveroo’s operations across the GCC, scaling a business from zero to over $1B in GMV in a region defined by operational complexity. He understands firsthand that growth in mid-market businesses has traditionally meant more people, more process, and more overhead. Algebra AI was built on the premise that AI changes that equation.
The model Algebra AI has built is different from what a software vendor offers. The company designs AI systems around how a client’s business operates, including the tools they already use, the approval logic they rely on, and the real constraints they work within. The same team that designs a system at Algebra AI builds it, runs it, and stays accountable for it as the client’s business evolves. There is no go-live handoff. Human judgment is built in at the points where it matters, so the right decisions remain with the right people.
Algebra AI is backed by $7M in funding from Infinity Constellation, BECO, Silicon Badia and Waseel Investments. Infinity Constellation, spun out of Invisible Technologies, brings proven global playbooks for turning operational expertise into scalable, software-like workflows. Silicon Badia brings over a decade of venture capital experience and deep regional conviction. Waseel Investments, a privately owned Saudi holding group with a diversified portfolio, brings regional capital and long-term commitment to the round.
We look forward to sharing more as Algebra AI grows.
