Building materials account for a significant share of construction project costs, yet procurement remains highly fragmented, reliant on manual sourcing, negotiations, and disconnected logistics. Solving that requires a supplier network, sourcing infrastructure, as well as the software and data to manage pricing, quality, and logistics through a single relationship. BRKZ spent its first three years building this across Saudi Arabia.
We led BRKZ’s Series A in 2024, after staying close to the company for 1.5 years since its inception. The company aligns closely with our Construction Tech thesis, which mirrors the evolution we saw in PropTech a decade prior, where base-layer digital marketplaces became integral to an industry before enabling offshoots. Today, BRKZ is on track to become the construction operating system for the GCC.
BRKZ has now secured $31 million in new capital. The Series B round was co-led by Wa’ed Ventures and 500 Global, with participation from BECO Capital and ANB Capital, alongside an $18 million growth debt commitment from Stride Ventures. The capital will advance BRKZ’s AI capabilities across quotation, pricing, and fulfilment, deepen vertical integration across the supply chain from raw materials sourcing to last-mile delivery, and extend cross-border sourcing corridors with China, India, and other manufacturing markets.
